My name is Blessing Osom. I was born and raised in Calabar, in the southern part of Nigeria. My early life took a tragic turn when I lost both of my parents in a devastating car accident. Before they passed away, we had a good life—my mother was a bank manager, and my father worked with the Ministry of Water Resources.
After their sudden passing, my life completely changed. I had to move back to the village to live with my relatives. During that time, I faced severe hardships and mistreatment from my uncle. I struggled daily, lacked access to good food, and endured many difficulties just to survive. Those early experiences of suffering and hardship shaped who I am today and inspired my deep commitment to helping vulnerable children and communities, ensuring they do not have to face the same struggles I did.
